The Terex Titan
The Terex Titan was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the biggest truck in the world – at least in the rear-dumping, hauler and tandem-axle class. The monster truck is 6.88 meters high and just over 20 meters long. It weighs in at over 260 tons with a payload of 350 tons.
The Titan 33-19 was first built and displayed by General Motors in London, Ontario for a Las Vegas automobile convention. After its debut, the powerful truck was used in a coal mining facility from 1978 until 1990. Now, after its retirement, the Terex Titan can be found in Sparwood, B.C. on Hwy 3.
Liebherr T 282 B
The T 282 B mining truck from Liebherr Mining Equipment Company is one of the world's biggest mining trucks. This beast can carry over 360 metric tonnes (400 tons) and hit speeds as fast as 64 kilometers an hour with a full payload.
To order a T 282 B, you can expect to pay around $3 million. Because of the high price and specialty market for these beastly mining trucks, Liebherr produces less than a hundred of them every year. What makes the T 282 B even more unique is that the bulk of its power is electric.
A 2723-kilowatt diesel engine essentially powers two rear-axle motors that are electric. This unique design makes the Liebherr the world's biggest AC truck.
Bigfoot 5
Bigfoot 5 is the world's biggest monster truck or customized pickup truck. There have been over 20 Bigfoot trucks since the model's first inception, but today the largest and newest model is Bigfoot 5. As the biggest truck in the world in the monster truck category, Bigfoot weighs an incredible 28,000 pounds and stands 15 feet and 6 inches high.
